The presence of PR is a must for a company. In an effort to create, maintain and foster a harmonious relationship between both parties that the public relations firm with its customers should be able to be a good bridge.

Public relations plays a role in explanation or defense of the opinions that are less good than the public against the company, by presenting a variety of data, facts and real information. Therefore there must be a continuous process of management companies to gain goodwill and understanding of consumers, employees, and the public at large. Internally by conducting analysis and improvements to the company, while externally with the surveys, observations and publications.

Public Relations are a communications activity within a company as a reciprocal (two way traffic reciprocal communication). This means that on the first line of communication from the company in the form of information dissemination to the public. On the second line of communication takes place in the form of delivery of response from the public or public opinion to the company earlier.

There are some general points to devise a Public Relations (PR) strategy for your organization/company. If it has been designed in advance, then you can build good publicity before facing a crisis.

What steps can be taken by your organization/company to handle this PR?

Choose a credible spokesperson, which could make a harmonious relationship with the media. Maybe you need to explain to an ‘insider’ that in certain respects they are not allowed to talk directly with the media, but the spokesperson that put forward.

Next develop a list of media contacts to find out which media are covering the issues of your company.

Determine also the outline of the message you want to convey to the public. Your PR can focus around a central theme or it could also create new themes for different issues. Importantly, the main message is’ “We have done our best.”
